Cathy brings you an Edinburgh Fringe Special featuring some of the most distinctive voices at this year's festival. Hasan Al Habib joins us with Stuck in the Middle (East) With You, a sharp and deeply personal comedy about growing up in an Iraqi Muslim family in Birmingham and finding humour in a childhood shaped by divorce and family conflict. Brit Barron discusses her Fringe debut CHURCH, reflecting on her journey from evangelical megachurch pastor to queer comedian and the life she built after leaving the church. Acclaimed actor and theatre-maker Tessa Parr introduces I AM JOHNNY, a funny and provocative exploration of masculinity through the fictional persona of Johnny the Biblical Rapper. And former child YouTuber Euan Munro talks about Playback, a darkly comic return to the online world that shaped his childhood, revisiting an internet fame he once knew. And comedian, satirist and former political adviser Matt Forde joins us with Project Holy Moly, his most personal Fringe show yet, reflecting on life after bone cancer and what has changed in politics, in his life and in himself. Award-winning comic Elf Lyons discusses The Woman on the Edge, an imaginative and heartfelt show about love, self-worth and rebuilding after heartbreak. And acclaimed Scottish playwright and novelist Alan Bissett shares insights into the revival of The Red Hourglass, a remarkable solo performance that challenges our ideas about fear, prejudice and who gets to tell the story. Together, they explore faith, identity, masculinity, resilience and the enduring appeal of the Edinburgh Fringe as a place for risk, creativity and self-expression.
