At the start of July 2026, the 16th Stendhal Festival of music and art took place just outside Limavady in Northern Ireland, and headlining on the Saturday night were one of Britpop's great survivor's, Cast. Hailing from Liverpool, and led by John Power, the band emerged at the height of Britpop in the 90s, scoring a series of hit singles and albums. In more recent years, they've returned to the charts, as well as supporting Oasis on their massive comeback tour. At the Stendhal Festival, John Power sat down with Steven Rainey and an audience to revisit his musical journey, starting with his involvement on one of the best loved British indie bands of all time, The La's.
