Prayer for the Day presented by Rumbi Tauro. Good morning, As an independent musical artist, there are many things I need to plan ahead for: rehearsals, performances, and events. In 2024, I began preparing for my headline Northern tour. My band and I worked hard, rehearsing new material and pushing ourselves creatively. Along the way, I faced a few hurdles, but I learned valuable lessons. When planning the run of shows, I tried to account for possible issues and think of solutions in advance. However, unexpected costs, such as limited venue equipment and challenging travel logistics, especially late Sunday train journeys, needed more attention than I expected. I like to create a clear plan and hope everything unfolds exactly as imagined, but I have learned that this is not always the case. A friend reminded me that if this tour is going to be what it needs to be, I must remember that God is in control. If He can create our beautiful planet, then He surely cares about my hopes and dreams for these shows. When I am trying something new and expanding my skills, I do not need to remain in fear of the unknown. Isaiah 41:10 says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Dear God, help me to reach out to You when I need strength in my daily life. You know the areas where I feel uncertain. Thank You for being with me each day. Today, I choose to lean on Your strength. Guide my steps, calm my worries, and help me trust Your perfect timing always. Amen.
