Spoony launches Radio 2's 'The Music Is Black' season!

In the coming month Spoony will bring his selection of items to life, by enlisting the help of Alesha Dixon, Pauline Black of The Selecter, Level 42's Mark King, Beverley Knight, Femi Koleoso of Ezra Collective, designer Isabell Kristensen, Morcheeba, Omar, The Cookie Crew, The Kingdom Choir's Karen Gibson MBE and Professor James Walvin OBE, Rampage Sounds, Fabio & Grooverider as well as archive of Sir Elton John and Sir Idris Elba! It's all part of the pan BBC 'The Music Is Black' season in collaboration with the V&A East Museum. Spoony’s alter-ego ‘Dr Beat’ is also on hand to prescribe a musical pick-me-up for a lucky listener.
