Conductor Sofi Jeannin has a passion for Singing Together and in this episode, she explores the collective singing experience for young people and its impact on composers, audiences and themselves. Sofi looks at the power of the young voice in music, from the opera stages to the concert platform which inspired so many composers from Britten and Messiaen to Errolyn Wallen and Joseph Horowitz. Drawing on her experience of the Maitrîse de Radio France and her work with underprivileged immigrant children in Greece and Paris, Sofi brings a new perspective to the power of song.
