Este from the BBC's Sound of 2013 winners, LA four-piece Haim, presents a playlist of some of her favourite songs. She is the eldest of the three sisters who are the core of the band. Their sound has been described as nu-folk-meets-nineties-R&B. The three sisters formed the band in 2006 and spent the next five years playing local venues. After playing in other bands they decided to take Haim more seriously. After supporting acts such as Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, The Henry Clay People and Ke$ha, they released their debut ep Forever in 2012. This led to a deal with Polydor records. They played their debut UK shows at the end of 2012, and in January they topped the BBC's Sound of 2013 poll. Their debut album Days Are Gone comes out at the end of the month.
