Bookclub
Join us for a special recording of BBC Radio 4’s Bookclub with acclaimed Korean-American author Min Jin Lee, discussing her novel Pachinko.
Spanning generations, Pachinko follows a Korean family as they leave their homeland and build a new life in Japan. Moving through much of the twentieth century, the novel explores family, identity, belonging and the challenges faced by Koreans living in Japan.
Please only apply for a ticket if you are able to read Pachinko in advance and are willing to take part in the discussion. As places are limited, we kindly ask that those unable to read the book or participate do not sign up. If you are happy to engage in our book club format and would like to hear more about the novel, its creation and the ideas behind it, we would be delighted to welcome you.
To attend, please apply for a ticket and submit a question for Min Jin Lee in advance to bookclub@bbc.co.uk. Bookclub is shaped by audience questions, making this a fantastic opportunity to join a lively conversation with presenter James Naughtie and Min Jin Lee about Pachinko.
