As a founder member of the Kingsway Amnesty Group, I went to visit a young mother and her 2 young sons who were being detained in the Dungavel detention centre, during the visit her youngest son who I had watched growing up in our community and he had turned 5 years old, looked into my eyes and asked me aunt Noreen what have I done wrong, why am I in prison? I can tell you the look in his eyes and that question will live with me until the day I die, how can children be treated so cruelly?
