The Hotel

Jess Dalziel

Burj Al Arab was a dream hotel, chandeliers with diamonds the size of fists plotted along the ceiling. Running from the ceiling to the floor stood a giant marine tank, home to hundreds of different fish all different shapes and sizes. Beyond the fish tank we saw two parallel escalators running up to the lobby, which had two flowing water fountains spraying in all different directions to form a spectacular pattern. Along the side of the hotel was a collection of jewellery and gift shops with a very expensive price range.

When we made our way to the restaurant we were forced into a shiny, glass lift with a mirror door. As we shot out of the four walls of the box we suddenly entered a horizon of vast blue sea. As we rocketed to the top of the hotel, while examining the spectacular view, we skimmed past a green circle shaped like a helicopter pad, but in fact it was a tennis court, with a gold range on the outside where you can hit balls into the sea.

When we got to the top of the Burj Al Arab, our restaurant had a sea theme with massive fish tanks and big, round tables with glamorous chairs and flowers. The menus were beautifully decorated and well made. When we had ordered I went exploring up to the games room which had four different sections for the different types of games. When we sat down to eat our meal I had ordered fish nuggets because they only had fish and if I wanted to have some other food Ihad to go to one of the other restaurants.

When we were finished, we were ready to go and we tried to take as many pictures as we could.
