Meant to be together

When I first saw Steve in 1972 I knew he was going to be my soul mate for always. We started living together in 1977 after lots of traumas but I do believe that you only have one true love in your life and he was mine and I was his. We had the usual ups and downs but he really was my best friend the father of twins and stepfather of my two girls.

In March 2004 he kissed me goodbye as he usually did and off he went to work and I never saw him again. He took his own life and our lives have never been the same again. We could find no reason why he did this. We had no worries at all. He had a loving family and I loved him with a passion.

We just get on with our lives but we think of him every minute of every day. We just learn to live with it. People say am I angry with him for doing this but I say no as something in his head must have snapped as he was the most loving and generous person I have ever known in my life. But it is true life does go on. It has to for my lovely children.
