Itching for it...

Phil Smith

1999

Saturday 19th February 1999.

A pair of eyes and a nose at the bottom of the picture I took of the mirror. There is no more room left ...so what's next? Put in order, you have...

A lady in Red, standing upright, white-faced, long dark hair groomed and parted in the middle, smiling.

A dark skinned bloke with short cropped blond hair, he is sitting as if in a picture hanging on the wall. You see his left hand side, it's on the left hand side, halfway up the mirror. He is wearing a yellow loose fitting shirt.

A naked lady standing... next to the red lady in the middle of the mirror standing behind what seems like a chair. In front of her it's like the same figure but sitting down on the chair with a grey overcoat wrapped round her! Her face is facing towards the left hand side, knees bent together and covered with the coat pointing in the same direction.

What now? Right hand side headless naked torso with head lying at feet. Its around the rim almost a Death skeleton, holding a spear in the right hand and a sword in the left hand both pointing upwards.

Reminds me of the death card in a tarot pack...

Ah! the small evil eyes, top middle, seen twice now, very hard to see, empty eye sockets, nose, ears that stick out, and a wee gaping open mouth all leaping out at you, horrible it is! Gads.

Along the top... a wee bit to the right is a bigger version... hard to spot but it is there I assure you!

Overall across the mirror is a half face. Nose in the middle of the mirror, right eye facing you and teeth showing out of the bottom.

That's it so far.

No Way! All that out of a clean mirror? Mad I must be! So...what I want to know is, is this Annie's life/ spirit? The spirit that I asked to appear in the mirror of her bedroom, on that day at Rose Hall Estate.. Jamaica 1999, when I took the photo?

It must be!

Her images of life and death captured 237 plus years on... and her Haitian voodoo powers are still working!

Amazing.

Did I answer myself then?
