It is amazing how everything can change in a simple hour. I'm only thirteen years old and I now know how it feels to have your life flipped around. A plane ride, a road trip, an hour nap, and here I am. So I choose today because for me everyday is new.

It is now September 3rd 2008 and I am sitting in English. People surround me all silently working on the exact same thing: A Special Day. I can't help but think what is so special about their day, what is so special about mine? On this Wednesday nothing is different besides the fact I'm in a completely different country. But I belong. On September 3rd I belong.

I suppose I've always belonged, just never knew what reality was actually like. But on September 3rd I change my life for the better not the worse.

At this exact moment some kid is clicking a pen against his head and it digs my head in. This boy gets on my nerves everyday, but not once have I told him to stop or shut up. Should I change that today? Why today? What is so special about September 3rd? Nothing. The answer is nothing.

No matter how much I want today to be extraordinary, for my life to change, I know in my heart it won't. I will never change for anyone. My Mom taught me that. She was always saying "Kenzie you stay you until the day you die." I now feel like she is dead. Never see her anymore. On September 3rd I realised this. . ..

I'm never going back. Never going back to my home, my fantasy. No more weekends with my friends, never again going to see my friends. The people who made me me are no longer here in my life. I realise that today, this Wednesday. I hate this Wednesday. Today is the day everything hit me. This is it. This is my life.
