Don't you just love dressing like a pirate and getting chased around a soggy forest by very immature adults dressed like Indians? Nope me neither. I'll explain. I was on a camping trip with one of my friends and there were loads of people neither of us knew. The adults decided to play a game. How was I to know I would leave with a weird taste in my mouth, clothes drenched and my shoes coated with stinky mud?

The game was to run around the forest looking for rolled up bits of a code but if you were caught by an adult dressed like a pirate you got squirted with a water pistol and if you got caught by an adult dressed like an Indian you were really unlucky. Me, being the amazingly lucky person that I am, was caught by an Indian and the punishment for that was getting figs put in my mouth. I will never as long as I live ever eat figs again deliberately.

The only way to survive this torture was, as soon as you saw an adult dressed like a pirate or Indian, start singing campfire songs. But me and my friend didn't know any campfire songs so we were doomed from the start.

I will now explain how my shoes got destroyed. After the whole Indian and figs thing me and a couple of other people ran as fast as we could to get away from the place we were in, as it had 2 adults dressed like pirates and one dressed like an Indian. When running away I stepped in a deep muddy puddle and one of my shoes was muddy. I then tried to wash my shoe in a lake that was two minutes away when I put my foot in the lake I slipped and my other shoe was all muddy too. What a nightmare.

Thankfully the ordeal was almost over and I crawled back to my tent exhausted for a restless sleep. Oh I missed my warm cosy bed.
