Days like this

It was a really hot day in the middle of summer and me, my brother, my mum and 2 friends were in the car. I was sweating, I was wearing shorts, t-shirt and flip flops which I later discovered wasn't the best footwear to wear! We arrived at the river and straight away we were splashing about in the water. It was freezing! There were rocks at the bottom and they were really slimy, I fell a couple of times! My mum was relaxing on the rocks on the ground. My brother's friend was there with her mum, so my mum was chatting to her. We were playing for about an hour, then we got some food, my mum had packed some.

After that we were back in the river, after a while it wasn't as cold. We played for about another hour, then it was time to go home. When we got home, we were all wet so we took turns in the shower. My mum decided that we could have a barbeque. I usually cook, so I did. The smoke was stinging my eyes, so I took a break. We had burgers, sausages and bacon. It was tasty! After that one of my friend's papa come and picked her up. My other friend, stayed over at my house. It was a really fun day that I can always remember and I hope there are more of them days to come.
