Dad

I remember the day my father died. I had gone fishing with the boys from the centre in Hillington where I worked. The bus came to my door that morning and picked me up because it was a day out. We were going fishing. We had a great day. The bus dropped all the other boys off home. I was the last to get dropped off. My sister Martha was waiting for me. She told me my Father has died. I lost the place and I tried to hit her because I was so upset. I'm glad to say I missed. My boss took me back to his home to get me calmed down. They found my dad in the park. His dog Rover stayed with him and wouldn't let anyone near him. My sister had to go and get the dog away so that the doctor and the police could go near him. They found he'd died of a heart attack. When I got home that night the dog spent the night in my bedroom. I took him for a walk that night in the park. The dog stopped and wouldn't move from the spot where my Dad had died. He'd been my dog but my Dad and I both looked after him. I felt bad afterwards that I'd got angry at Martha I took the day off work the next day. After that my sisters looked after me. The dog missed my Dad as much as I did. My Dad taught me about life, he saved my neck a lot of times and taught me things.
