A day out at the South Queensferry

On Tuesday 7th October 2008, my husband, Charlie and I went to South Queensferry to see the QE2 ship for the last time. It was cloudy and raining but it didn't put us off enjoying the lovely day seeing the ship.

We went on a small boat to get near the ship and we took pictures from different angles. We met a few people whom we got talking to. One of them was South African and is now living in Edinburgh; her husband is still in South Africa. I went to the bar to get a couple of drinks. Charlie had a beer and I had a cup of tea.

Our boat stopped at North Queensferry where we went to a pub. There, we met two women who had won tickets to visit the QE2 and to meet the Captain. All I will say is that it was a great experience
