South African activist Sibusiso Innocent Zikode has been awarded the prestigious Per Anger Prize for work furthering human rights and democracy. 15 years ago he co-founded the Abahlali baseMjondolo movement, which promotes the human rights of residents of informal settlements in South Africa.
