The £5bn Pipeline: What You Need To Know

A proposed £5bn carbon dioxide pipeline could run beneath parts of Wirral and Cheshire, transporting emissions from cement and lime production to be stored under the Irish Sea. But the Peak Cluster project has faced opposition from residents, local politicians and organisations including Chester Zoo. So why is the pipeline being proposed, what are the concerns about its route, and how close is it to actually being built?
