Worcestershire's Rising Electronic Star

Grace Barton spent her childhood between Kidderminster, Worcester and Malvern, enjoying weekends along the River Severn, trips into town with friends and summers performing with Malvern Young Theatre. Those local experiences helped shape the artist who would go on to become one of the UK's most exciting rising names in electronic music.

Now signed to Universal and boasting more than 16 million streams across more than 120 countries, Grace has taken another major step in her career by landing her own show on Radio 1 Dance. Having received some of her earliest support through BBC Introducing, she reflects on her Worcestershire upbringing, the places and people that influenced her, and the journey from local performer to national radio host. While away on a writing retreat, she sent us an audio postcard from the other side of the Irish Sea.
