Dawn's supported 1000 children with their reading.

Dawn Haig-Thomas from the Isle of Wight has been a school reader volunteer since 2023, supporting over 1000 children, improving their reading fluency and confidence and instilling a love of books and stories.

Dawn is a finalist in the Volunteer category in BBC Radio Solent's Make a Difference Awards for 2026.
