‘Nothing being done' to burst pipe during drought

A Northamptonshire farmer has raised concerns a burst water pipe that is flooding his land is unlikely to be fixed for weeks, especially during the drought.

Peter Howard, from Kings Cliffe, says he is frustrated Anglian Water had not repaired leaks from its pipe, while still asking customers to conserve water.

The water company said hot weather resulted in an increase in burst mains or leaks, and it was working hard to ensure customers' water supplies were protected.
