Burnham scraps VAT on electricity bills in first big move
Andy Burnham says he will remove VAT from electricity bills, marking his first major policy announcement as prime minister.
Chief political correspondent Henry Zeffman discusses how the rate of VAT applied to household electricity will be cut from 5% to 0%, starting on 1 October, saving a typical home about £45 a year.
