If they'd listened I wouldn't of lost my daughter
A mum whose daughter died following mistakes made at Shropshire's hospitals says she "wholeheartedly" welcomes part of new report into maternity services that suggests listening to the voices of women. A government-appointed review into 12 hospital trusts, not including Shropshire's, found that maternity services were not set up to deliver safe, high quality and compassionate care.
As a result eight recommendations have been published including "listening to the voices of women, birthing people and families" - which Rhiannon Davies says would have saved her daughter Kate who died in 2009.
