Why Americans love Belvoir Castle

The popularity of period dramas is riding high in America - Bridgerton, Downton Abbey and The Crown to name just a few.

As a result more Americans are now travelling over to visit our heritage sites – particularly the ones that look very similar to those in the shows they love.

Here in Leicestershire we have our own American tourist hot spot - Belvoir Castle. Dr Holly Carter is a board member of a charity called “American friends of Belvoir Castle"
