Leader apologises for upset caused by SEND Proposals
Leicestershire County Council Leader Dan Harrison has apologised for the ‘blind fear’ felt by some parents in response to the council's proposals which were put out for public consultation.
Those proposals involve closing four specialist nurseries for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and relocating that provision to existing mainstream nurseries.
Dan Harrison assured BBC Leicester’s Ben Jackson that a decision had not been made and that people’s views would be respected. He outlined the original thinking behind the proposal.
