Droitwich's Rik Mayall mural: Behind the design
A shopfront in his Worcestershire hometown has been transformed in to an eye-catching piece of art, a mural of the comedian's career and the characters a nation took to its heart.
Artist Milan Illustrator reflects on their own love of the late comedy actor's creations, which has translated in to the design in the High Street, unveiled to much acclaim as the Rik Mayall Comedy Emporium.
It was created as part of the spectacular week-long event, the Rik Mayall Comedy Festival headlined by collaborators Greg Davies and Helen Lederer, that will help put the late actor's hometown on the national comedy map.
Tom Edwards reports.
