Malvern's Evron up for 'horse of the year'
Since retiring from the track he's turned his hoof to eventing in spectacular style, qualifying for the Badminton horse trials grassroots championships among other accolades.
The bay gelding left racing behind 18 months ago from a six-year career, after being trained by Eastnor-based trainer Matt Sheppard.
but has since been nominated for the prestigious Retraining of Racehorses award, championing animals' versatility since moving disciplines, and celebrating success in dressage, show jumping and eventing.
Stella Bunn from Malvern is Evron's new mum, and reflects on life in the paddock with Kate Justice.
