Ghost insurance brokers

Aviva’s latest research reveals a troubling trend: young people turning to social media for car insurance - only to end up with fake policies. Journalist Rebecca Wilcox investigates how criminals known as "ghost brokers" operate, leaving drivers thousands of pounds out of pocket.

In response to our film, Tiktok told us that it does not allow attempts to defraud or scam its members, removing over 95% of videos that violate its rules before they are reported - and says it has banned the Royal Kings International account. It says it publishes information and resources for users around scam safety, and financial product advice. Alleged scam insurance broker Royal Kings International did not reply to our requests for comment.
