Diwali volunteers tackle food poverty
Diwali is a great time to celebrate, but it’s also a time to reflect.
The major festival celebrates the triumph of light over darkness, and is the start of new beginnings for millions of people of the Hindu, Sikh and Jain faiths.
To help and serve others forms a fundamental part of the Hindu faith. As part of that, the charity Diwali Basket Brigade in Leicester springs into action at this time of the year.
BBC Leicester reporter Deepak Patel went along to find out what the organisation does, and what's inside a Diwali basket.
