Episode 1: An Introduction to the Case

A private story, now gone public. BBC Radio 4's PM follows the story of 'Emily', a mother who works with social services to keep her new baby, after nine of her children had been taken into care.

We start off by meeting Frontline recruiter James Shutkever, who says he wants to change the narrative that children services are there to take children away from parents.
