Anatomy of a Stabbing: Episode 2

Since 2017 more than 600 people across the UK have been stabbed to death. The numbers are at record levels.

As part of our series on knife crime, we are following the story of one of those victims - Jonathon James McPhillips, known as JJ, and his mother Michelle. JJ was killed two years ago on a high street in North London.

In part one we heard how JJ was stabbed trying to save a 17 year old who was being attacked by a gang and the frantic attempts to save his life.

Reporter Andrew Bomford has spent the last year following his mother Michelle in her fight to get justice for her son's death. In this episode he attends JJ's funeral and joins Michelle at a support group for other mothers in her situation.
