US mid-terms: Have the Democrats learned anything?

In a month, Americans will vote in mid-term elections - which could have a major impact on the next two years of the Trump presidency.

The Republicans currently control both the House of Representatives and the Senate, but the Democrats are hoping to retake contested seats in both.
