Rutherford: Withdrawing from World Championships ‘completely and utterly gutting’

Greg Rutherford has withdrawn from next month's World Championships in London because of an ankle injury.

The reigning long jump champion told 5 live it is ‘completely and utterly gutting’ not to be able to compete.

“I can’t actually take off and I can’t jump so for a long jumper you can imagine that’s less than ideal.”
