Boris Johnson's Hitler EU comparison 'a historian's comments'
Boris Johnson, the former mayor of London, made remarks on Sunday comparing the EU's aims in creating a "single authority" in Europe with Napoleon's and Hitler's.
"Boris Johnson was making a historian's comment about history," said Chris Grayling the former secretary of state for justice and leader of the Commons.
Mr Grayling described the comments as those of a historian seven times, in answer to presenters John Humphrys' repeated questioning.
