Belgium has been 'tolerating intolerance'

Belgium needs to ensure immigrants "learn to accept the way we live", Belgian MEP Mark Demesmaeker has told the Today programme.

"We have seen laxism the last 20, 25 years - look at Molenbeek," said the delegation leader of the New Flemish Alliance at the European parliament.

"They have been tolerating intolerance and they have been blind to it."
