Hospitals are missing key opportunities to save the lives of hundreds of babies in the UK, an investigation into stillbirths has found.
Shavon Perkins’ baby son Joseph was stillborn last year. Speaking to the Today programme, she described the devastating events that led up to his death, which was followed by a natural delivery.
“He was completely perfect and absolutely beautiful… he just never opened his eyes or let out a cry,” she told Mishal Husain.
“I cry for my son every day. You never get over losing a child.”
