Looking down on earth from space was 'life changing'
"In October 2000 three men left earth docking on the International Space Station, two days later they became it's very first residents. Since then, more than 200 people from 15 different countries have visited, there have been more than 150 spacewalks and countless experiments in human biology, physics, astronomy and meteorology.
One of the men to visit the Space Station was “space tourist” Richard Garriott who described looking down on the earth from space as “life changing period of time”
He admits that space travel did make him rethink his lifestyle on earth “Since my flight “I really do pay attention to this one earth we share, when you’ve had the chance to live above the earth looking down upon for weeks and months, it really does change you deeply”
