Mel Brooks on his 'introspective retrospective'
Mel Brooks will be in London later this month for his first ever solo London show.
Brooks was unfortunately too busy to do an interview with the Today programme, but he's been speaking to his old friend Alan Yentob, the BBC's Creative Director and describe his one man show.
"It's an introspective retrospective, I tell near truths all evening," he said.
Yentob also asked him about his career as an entertainer in the so called 'Borscht Belt' - or 'Jewish Alps' - the mountains of upstate New York, where Jewish New Yorkers flocked for their holidays from the 1920s until the 70s.
