Ground control to Major Tim

On Monday 20th May it was announced that former Army test pilot Major Tim Peake would become Britain's first official astronaut.

In 2015, he'll become the first UK astronaut to board a mission to the International Space Station.

He has already been preparing with some gruelling training.

Tim spoke to us from London's Science Museum.
