Teachers, Plumbers, Banders

Hannah plays a winning performance inspired by Emily Bronte’s poetry, and explores the reality of life for many banders. Coco Chan is a senior civil servant by day and a percussionist in one of the UK’s top bands by night. Inviting us into her bandroom, we explore the personal sacrifices many banders must make. Plus a piece outlining the great mysteries of the universe and a virtuosic solo inspired by Irish folk tunes.

Throughout the series, composer and ex-Youth Bander Hannah Peel plays a mix of inspiring brass music from across the globe and meets today’s passionate banders as she goes behind their bandrooms.
