A revered producer and DJ, Ali co-founded legendary east coast group A Tribe Called Quest, alongside other influential music groups, and has produced countless acclaimed hip hop tracks.
They talk all things Tribe and the early days, as well as Ali's new album The Midnight Hour: Lost Tapes, released on Jazz Is Dead, the label that he runs alongside producer Adrian Younge.
There's also hits from Sa-Roc, Erykah Badu and The Alchemist, and fresh sounds from BBC Introducing London's Pariah.
