Alex Hyde is an Associate Professor at University College London. Violets, her first novel, a fictional reimagining of her father’s story, was longlisted for the Desmond Elliott Prize, shortlisted for the Gordon Bowker Volcano Prize and was a Radio 4 Book at Bedtime. She lives with her family in South London.
