Nature Week: Beautiful tunes from Mottisfont

Presented by broadcaster, author and counselling psychologist Dr Sian Williams from Mottisfont National Trust site with calming classical music to set you up for the day ahead.

Calming classical music to inspire focus and set you up for the day ahead. Presented by broadcaster, author and counselling psychologist Dr Sian Williams from Mottisfont National Trust site in Hampshire.

In the leafy surrounds of the gardens at Mottisfont, beside the running water of a trout-filled river, Sian ponders whether our brains change with the seasons. Meanwhile, Professor Catherine Loveday explores emerging research suggesting seasonal changes can be detected in parts of the brain associated with mind wandering, and Sian discovers how light, water and the changing natural world around Mottisfont can give our minds space to reset. Featuring the soothing melodies of composers including Beethoven, Debussy and Rebecca Clarke, and a chance to Find Your Focus for the morning in a piece by Luke Howard depicting Dappled Light.
