Chris Hull and Flo Headlam travel to Cambridge to help mum Louise and her two student children, Jacob and Maisie, transform their tired, lifeless garden into a space that brings them back together. The garden has become a forgotten patch that has lots of potential but is at the moment lacking character and structure.

Louise, a full-time working mum, sees the garden as a chance for a fresh start and a calm, low-maintenance sanctuary where she can unwind all year round. Her son Jacob, however, has a very different vision: he’s passionate about rewilding, keen to create hedgerows, natural habitats, and a thriving space for wildlife. Maisie, meanwhile, just wants to make sure their two beloved cats have plenty to explore and enjoy.

The family can’t agree on how to bring these distinct ideas together and that’s where Chris and Flo step in. Louise also hopes to reuse old materials already in the garden, including weathered pallets, to keep the project sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Can the team find the perfect balance between rewilding and relaxation, and create a beautiful garden that finally brings this family together all on a £3,000 budget?
