Revisiting the Special Operations Response Team’s most challenging emergencies.
In Edinburgh, crewmates Leigh and Philip attend to elderly patient Neil, who has been trapped under his floorboards for three days. He is delirious, and his condition could deteriorate rapidly if they don’t safely remove him with as little movement as possible.
On the River Clyde, Paul and James treat Hugh, whose boat has capsized. Hugh and his friend struggled in the water for 60 mins before he managed to flag down a passing train. With it being deemed too dangerous to move Hugh over the train tracks, team leader Paul has a slightly unconventional solution to get him to hospital.
And as a fire that rages through an industrial unit in Livingstone, Leigh leads her team in supporting the fire crew and being prepared for any potential casualties.
