Grammy and Oscar-winning singer-songwriter Christopher Cross joins forces with The BBC Concert Orchestra - conducted and arranged by Adam Dennis - in The Radio 2 Piano Room.
Christopher exploded onto the music scene back in 1980 with his self-titled debut album, and in a career now spanning five decades he's sold more than 10 million albums and built up a cabinet full of awards.
His debut album won five Grammy Awards, including—for the first time in Grammy history—the “Big Four” most prestigious awards: Record of the Year (for the single “Sailing”), Album of the Year, Song of the Year (also “Sailing”), and Best New Artist.
That success led to Christopher being asked to co-write "Arthur's Theme" for the Peter Moore film "Arthur" - with Burt Bacharach no less - and more acclaim followed - plus an Academy Award.
In the subsequent decades Christopher has continued to tour and to release new music - now on his own label - and earlier this year he thrilled UK audiences with a string of acclaimed shows.
