Take a close look at the coins in your pocket, because they could be worth more you think. That’s the advice of collector John Wilson as he reveals highlights from his collection.

Viewers will be checking their change after watching this episode in Kent! David Harper meets a coin collector who reveals which rare 50 pence piece is worth 300 times its face value! John Wilson’s collection boasts 11,000 coins, including early medieval and Tudor hammered coins and the very first milled ones from the 18th century.

Hoping to splash some cash of their own at Detling antiques fair are two teams of bargain hunters. In red are mum and daughter Nisha and dancer Adzi, with their expert Mark Stacey. Their opponents in blue are partners and musicians Kathy and Nardo. Nardo used to play drums in a 1980s band called Amazulu, and Kathy worked with some big recording artists of the era. They hope to compose a win with expert Kate Bliss, kicking off with a dolphin water feature, but four figures is too much to splash out on.

The reds, meanwhile, are pinning their hopes on a set of cameo brooches, but Mark has doubts whether they will prove popular at auction.

In Windsor, David hears auctioneer Harry Ballin’s estimates before the teams see their items go under the hammer – for a profit or a loss!
