Sing Gospel!

Mark De-Lisser hosts a celebration of gospel music from Liverpool Olympia, with special guests Annie and the Caldwells, Sarah Brown and Manchester Inspirational Voices.

Mark De-Lisser hosts a celebration of gospel music from the iconic Liverpool Olympia, introducing a soul-stirring mix of new and classic gospel hymns, with some very special guests.

Mark is joined on stage by family gospel group Annie and the Caldwells, all the way from Mississippi, USA, who have recently enjoyed an extraordinary path to international recognition after singing together for 40 years. Renowned vocalist Sarah Brown shares with Mark how her deep roots in the Pentecostal Church shaped a career that has seen her sing with the likes of Quincy Jones, Simply Red and Simple Minds. She then sings a classic from godmother of gospel Mahalia Jackson.

The historic venue of Liverpool Olympia is filled with joyful worship as the congregation of 700 join in song, all backed by Luke Smith and his band, and by celebrated choir Manchester Inspirational Voices, featuring solos from Clinton Jordan and their founder Wayne Ellington.
