The Traditional Music degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) recently celebrated a major milestone, its 30th anniversary. Since launching as the UK’s first degree of its kind in 1996, it has shaped a generation of artists through courses spanning accordion, fiddle, piping and Gaelic song. Anna Massie chats to current students, alumni and tutors past and present about the course and what it has done for traditional music in Scotland.
