Saxophonist Jess Gillam performs live from Wigmore Hall with friends, Sam Becker on double-bass and Zeynep Özsuca on piano. And Linton Stephens introduces a week of specially recorded performances from the recent Hay-on-Wye festival. Also on Classical Live this week, concertos for wind instruments. Today, we have a late 18th-century flute concerto by CPE Bach recorded by Il Pomo d'Oro in Madrid. And also, Tchaikovsky's triumphant 5th Symphony performed by the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Tabita Bergland.
